![]() Pianist Eduardus Halim Chooses Chopin for PA/LS Recital October 16, 2001
His performances described as "dazzlingly ornate," "fiery," "hugely characterful," and "simply astounding," Eduardus Halim has been hailed as a pianist whose virtuosity is matched by a distinctive artistic temperament. When he made his New York debut in 1987, while still a student at Juilliard, Halim won the admiration of the critics with his superb technique, beautiful tone, and poetic interpretations. Since his debut, Halim has met with equal success appearing with such orchestras as the Chicago Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony, the Montreal Symphony, the Minnesota Orchestra, and the San Francisco Symphony.
