Duvall Trio Performs Brahms, Haydn, Turina for OWU Recital

[ Duvall Trio Photo ] DELAWARE, OHIO -- The Duvall Trio, Ohio Wesleyan's faculty ensemble in residence, will present a recital at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, in Sanborn Hall's Jemison Auditorium.

This program will feature Haydn's C major Trio, Turina's Circulo and Brahms' Piano Trio No. 1 in B major, Op. 8. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Duvall Trio, originally in residence at Ohio Wesleyan from 1952-73, was re-formed during the 1994-95 season. Current members are pianist Cameron Bennett, violinist Korine Fujiwara and cellist Wendy Morton.

Bennett, a member of the OWU faculty since 1992 and current department chairman, has had an active career performing as both soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States, Canada, Russia and the Far East.

Fujiwara, a faculty member since 1993, has performed as soloist, chamber musician, and an orchestral player throughout this country, Canada and the United Kingdom. She is also a member of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and has performed with the Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra.

Morton, a faculty member since 1999, is the assistant principal cellist of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. She is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and has performed with the Honolulu Symphony, Santa Fe Opera Orchestra, and the Brandenburg Ensemble under the direction of Alexander Schneider.
