Improvisational 'Some Assembly Required' Showing at Ohio Wesleyan

DELAWARE, OHIO -- Attack Theatre will bring its improvisational interpretation to Ohio Wesleyan University for a free unique show, "Some Assembly Required" on Friday, September 17, at 4 p.m. in the Richard M. Ross Art Museum (60 S. Sandusky St., Delaware).

"Some Assembly Required" is part of Attack Theatre's normal repertoire, but this will be a unique show created around the photographs and sculptures on display at Ohio Wesleyan University. According to Attack Theatre, "the production is a process/performance that engages the audience with performance, improvisation, and creation."

The performance will begin with inspiration from Ralph Gibson's photographs in the Ross Art Museum. The performance—and audience—will move to the Schimmel/Conrades Science Center Atrium (90 S. Henry St., Delaware) and continue with sculptures created by Jon Quick and Alvin Sher. Quick, associate professor of fine arts at Ohio Wesleyan, is a sculptor and metal fabricator and will have "Forged Forms" on display. Sher, director of the Great Lakes College Association New York Arts Program, will have an original piece on display that stands nearly nine-feet tall.

"Some Assembly Required" is co-sponsored by the Sagan National Colloquium and Performing Arts Series with additional support from the Pennsylvania Council for the Arts.

Attack Theatre will perform a repertory performance of their most recent work on Saturday in the Chappelear Drama Center (45 Rowland Ave., Delaware). Tickets for Saturday's show are $15 for general admission and $5 for Ohio Wesleyan students. Purchase tickets at www.ticketweb.com or 866-468-3401.
