![]() Kraft Foods Scientist, Dr. Dragan Filipovic Discusses Creativity and Productivity October 8, 2004
Before joining Kraft Foods Corporate R&D in 1999, Dr. Filipovic was the lead R&D engineer at Tisma Machinery Corporation, where he designed and implemented a variety of "smart" control algorithms for high-efficiency packaging systems worldwide. Dr. Filipovic is the primary author of two U.S. patents for Tisma. At Kraft, Dr. Filipovic led a variety of strategic projects, including Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), advanced marketing communications, and factory diagnostic tools. In collaboration with several research laboratories in the U.S. and Europe, Dr. Filipovic currently promotes a platform called "Advanced Manufacturing Systems." The objective of this platform is to improve the operational efficiency of existing manufacturing assets using advanced technologies. Dr. Filipovic is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers association and has written over 30 technical papers. He regularly lectures at the University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia on the latest hi-tech trends in science and industry and also was invited to speak at the "RFID World 2003" and "Food Automation and Manufacturing" conferences.
