OWU Celebrates 160 Years as Federal Depository

DELAWARE, Ohio - Ohio Wesleyan University's Beeghly Library will celebrate 160 years as a Federal Depository Library on Friday.

The event will be held in the Library's Bayley Room (43 Rowland Ave., Delaware) from 1-3 p.m.Ohio Wesleyan University's Beeghly Library was designated a selective depository for U.S. Government documents in 1845. It continues as one of the longest running continuous members of the Federal Depository Library system. As a selective library, the University receives nearly 24 percent of the Depository's publications.OWU's library has a rich and historical collection of government documents and dedicates itself to providing free and unrestricted access to government information for Delaware County citizens while serving the curricular and research needs of the University.
