![]() Ohio Wesleyan Graduate Continues on Jeopardy Tournament April 14, 2005
DELAWARE, OHIO --
Matt Zielenski, a 2000 graduate of Ohio
Wesleyan, has advanced
to the second-round of Jeopardy!'s "Ultimate Tournament of
Champions."Zielenski's second-round show will air on April 25. He is one of 45-past winners to advance to the second round of the tournament. The five-round tournament will culminate with the top two performers from the "Ultimate Tournament of Champions" squaring off against Ken Jennings in a three-day total point challenge. Zielenski won $47,300 during two runs on the show in 1995. He won the 1995 "Teen Tournament of Champions" amassing $42,300 in winnings, which at the time was the highest amount in a two-day tournament. He also won $5,000 as a contestant on the show's "Tournament of Champions." He is guaranteed to earn $10,000 for his participation in the "Ultimate Tournament of Champions." Zielenski, now living in Cleveland, graduated from Ohio Wesleyan with a double major in history and fine arts and was active in community service.
