Ohio Wesleyan University Continues to Rank High Among Peers

As in many years past, Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU) achieved high rankings in several leading college assessment reports released in recent weeks.

In the US News & World Report 2007 edition of “America’s Best Colleges,” Ohio Wesleyan University is ranked among the top 100 Best Liberal Arts Colleges in the nation.  More information is available at:

Ohio Wesleyan University is again included in The Princeton Review 2007 edition of the “Best 361 Colleges.”  According to The Princeton Review web site, “OWU is one of only five independent undergraduate schools in the nation whose graduates rank in the top 20 both in the number of PhDs earned and in the number of business leaders.”  More information is available at:

Ohio Wesleyan was also again included in the latest edition of the book Colleges That Change Lives by Loren Pope, former New York Times education editor.  The newest version of the book, first published in 1996, was released in July 2006.  It profiles 40 colleges that excel at developing potential, values, initiative and risk-taking in a wide range of students.  More information is available at:

In The Washington Monthly’s college guide for 2007, Ohio Wesleyan was ranked 96th among 202 liberal arts colleges.  Colleges were assessed for their performance as engines of social mobility and their contributions to fostering scientific and humanistic research and promoting an ethic of service to country.  More information can be found at:
