Robert F. Bernstock to Speak on Global Business and Marketing Strategies

DELAWARE, OHIO — Robert F. Bernstock, president and chief operating officer of Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, will speak on Tuesday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Benes Room B in Hamilton Williams Campus Center, as part of the Woltemade Center Speakers Program. The title of his presentation is "Scotts Miracle-Gro Global Business and Marketing Strategies." The event is free of charge and open to the public.

In addition to his current position at Scotts Miracle-Gro, Bernstock has held positions as executive vice president of The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company; senior vice president and general manager of The Dial Corporation; chairman, president and CEO of Atlas Commerce; president, CEO and director of Vlasic Foods International; executive vice president and president of U.S. Grocery; and president of International Grocery at the Campbell Soup Company. Bernstock is an active member on the boards of the public companies Verticalnet, The Pantry, and NutriSystem. He is also chairman of the board of SecureSheet Technologies, LLC, and a board member of Biovid, both of which are private companies. Within Columbus, he serves on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. He is also on the Board of CompeteColumbus and is a former member of the board of ProMusica.

Bernstock graduated from Hamilton College in 1972 and received an M.B.A from Harvard Business School in 1974. He has four grown children, and currently lives in Delaware, Ohio with his wife Pam.
