International Relations, Foreign Policy Expert to Speak at OWU

Delaware, OH—Dr. John M. Owen, IV, associate professor, undergraduate director of The Woodrow Wilson Department of Politics at the University of Virginia will speak on Wednesday, February 22 at Ohio Wesleyan University. He will talk about "Iraq, Democracy and American Power," at 7:30 p.m. in the Hamilton Williams Campus Center Benes rooms.

A specialist in international relations (theory, U.S. foreign policy, international security and the effects of ideologies and culture on world politics), Owen also is author of numerous books including "Liberal Peace, Liberal War" (Cornell, 1997). He is the recipient of fellowships from the Olin Institute for Strategic Studies at Harvard, the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford, and the Center for International Studies at Princeton.

The lecture is sponsored by OWU's International Studies Program and is free and open to the public.
