Professor Alexander Wendt  to Speak at OWU on March 29

DELAWARE,OHIO—Professor Alexander Wendt, the Ralph D. Merson Professor of International Security at The Ohio State University, will speak at Ohio Wesleyan University on Wednesday, March 29 a 7 p.m. in the Hamilton-Williams Campus Center Benes Rooms. His lecture is entitled "Sovereignty and the UFO."Wendt is OWU's Corinne Lyman Lecturer on International Studies this year.He has research and teaching interests in international relations theory, global governance, political theory, and the philosophy of social science. Wendt has authored "Social Theory of International Politics (Cambridge University Press, 1999), and articles in International Organization, American Political Science Review, Review of International Studies, European Journal of International Relations, International Security, sand Politics and Society. He has taught at Yale University, the University of Chicago, and Dartmouth."Professor Wendt was listed last fall as the third most influential field scholar in a survey conducted by Foreign Policy magazine," says Sean Kay, associate professor of politics and government at OWU and director of the International Studies Program.

The lecture is sponsored by OWU's International Studies Program and is free and open to the public.
