Ohio Wesleyan Graduate to Discuss Life as a Photojournalist

October 31, 2007

DELAWARE, OHIO – Ohio Wesleyan University alumnus and internationally renowned photographer Stephen Donaldson will present “From Wall Street to Dream Street: Seizing Opportunity from a World of Experience” at 4:15 p.m. Nov. 8 in Room 312 of R.W. Corns Building, 78 S. Sandusky St. The free event is sponsored by the university’s Humanities-Classics Department, East Asian Studies Program, Career Services, and Academic Affairs Office.

Donaldson worked in the corporate realm 13 years before embarking on a two-year photographic journey around the world in 1995. Visiting 42 countries and logging more than 100,000 miles of backpack travel, he used the images he captured to transition from the corporate sector to a career in freelance photography. During his presentation at Ohio Wesleyan, Donaldson will encourage the audience to “dream big” by embracing challenging opportunities and capitalizing on failure.

A 1983 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan, Donaldson now works as a photographer for a variety of corporate and nonprofit clients and conducts educational photographic tours through his travel subsidiary, Go-There-Do-That Tours. Additionally, he presents lectures for schools, universities, and professional organizations throughout the Midwest and eastern United States.
