![]() News Release Ohio Wesleyan University Performing Arts Series Kicks Off with Robert Post Comedy Theatre August 11, 2008
Post will perform at 8 p.m. Sept. 6 in Ohio Wesleyan’s Chappelear Drama Center, 45 Rowland Ave. New York City’s Dance Insider says if you are a fan of Peter Sellers, Steve Martin, Julia Child, Les Ballets Trocadero, Dame Edna, Dick Van Dyke, “Leave it to Beaver,” Marcel Marceau, Steve Allen, Lucille Ball, or Robin Williams – you’ll enjoy Post’s one-man show. His performances pull from a variety of sketches and characters, including Pasquale’s Kitchen, a madcap TV chef who whips up a culinary feast of juggling, visual gags, dialects, jokes, magic and rhythm; and Tango, a “passionate” dance with red long johns. Over the past 27 years, Post has performed in settings ranging from street corners and homeless shelters to TV commercials and symphony orchestra concerts. An alumnus of the Affiliate Artists program, he has performed in 45 U.S. states, Canada, Mexico, and Japan. His work also has been featured in the national PBS award-winning TV special, “Robert Post – In Performance.” For more information, visit www.robertpost.org. Tickets for “POST Comedy Theatre” are $20 for general admission and $5 for senior citizens and students with a valid school ID.
