Ohio Wesleyan Announces Fall Athletic Home Events

July 15, 2009

DELAWARE, OH – The following Ohio Wesleyan University athletic events will be held on campus this fall. All events are open to the public, and are free of charge, unless otherwise noted. OWU Men’s Tennis is not included in this list, pending schedule completion. For more Battling Bishops information, visit bishops.owu.edu.

4 p.m. Sept. 1 – OWU Women’s Soccer against St. John Fisher College at Roy Rike Field, Park Ave., Delaware.

Sept. 4 and 5 -- OWU Women’s Volleyball Bishop Invitational at Branch Rickey Arena, S. Sandusky St., Delaware. OWU faces Wilmington College at 4p.m. Sept. 4, and Transylvania University at 8 p.m. On Sept. 5, OWU faces Otterbein College at 10 a.m. and Grove City College at 2 p.m. Admission is $5 for the public, and $2 for students or senior citizens.

Sept. 4 and 5– OWU Men’s Soccer hosts the Fred Myers Invitational Tournament at Roy Rike Field, Park Ave., Delaware. Calvin College faces Rutgers University (Camden) at 5 p.m. Sept. 4, Carnegie-Mellon University versus Ohio Wesleyan University at 7:30 p.m.  On Sept. 5, the consolation game will be held at 5 p.m., with the championship game at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for students or seniors.

1 p.m. Sept. 5 – OWU Women’s Soccer against Medialle College at Roy Rike Field, Park Ave., Delaware.

1 p.m. Sept. 6 – OWU Women’s Soccer against Endicott College at Roy Rike Field, Park Ave., Delaware.

Sept. 11 and 12 – OWU Men’s Soccer hosts Adidas Invitational Tournament. On Sept. 11, Alma College faces Oberlin College at 5 p.m., and Rose-Hulman Technical Institute faces Ohio Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m. On Sept. 12, Oberlin College faces Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at 5 p.m., and Alma College versus Ohio Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m. All games are at Roy Rike Field, Park Ave., Delaware. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for students or seniors.

10 a.m. Sept. 12 – OWU Men’s and Women’s Cross Country hosts Great Lakes College Association Championship at Liberty Park, 2507 Home Rd., Powell.

Noon Sept. 12 – OWU Field Hockey against Lindenwood University at Selby Field, S. Henry St., Delaware.

Sept 12 and 13 – OWU Golf hosts North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Fall Invitational Tournament at Delaware Golf Club, 3329 Columbus Pike (U.S. 23), south of Delaware. (Starting time to be announced).

Sept. 15 – OWU Golf host OWU Fall Invitational Tournament at Oakhaven Golf Club, 2871 Columbus Pike (U.S. 23), north of Delaware. (Starting time to be announced).

7 p.m. Sept. 16 – OWU Women’s Volleyball against Anderson College in the Branch Rickey Arena, S. Sandusky St., Delaware.

6 p.m. Sept. 18 – OWU Women’s Soccer against Hope College at Roy Rike Field, Park Ave., Delaware.

1 p.m. Sept. 19 – OWU Football against Wooster College, Selby Field, S. Henry St., Delaware.

7 p.m. Sept. 19 – OWU Men’s Soccer against De Pauw University, Roy Rike Field, Park Ave., Delaware.

1 p.m. Sept. 20 – OWU Women’s Soccer against De Pauw University at Roy Rike Field, Park Ave., Delaware.

4:30 p.m. Sept. 24 – OWU Field Hockey against Wittenberg College, Selby Field, S.Henry St., Delaware.

7 p.m. Sept. 24 – OWU Women’s Volleyball against Capital University in the Branch Rickey Arena, S. Sandusky St., Delaware.
