Ohio Wesleyan Libraries Staff Member Elected to National Position
Xudong Jin to Serve as Councilor-at-Large for American Library Association

DELAWARE, OH – Ohio Wesleyan University Libraries staff member Xudong Jin has been elected to a three-year term as one of 34 councilors-at-large for the American Library Association, the oldest and largest library association in the world. Its mission is to provide leadership for the development, promotion, and improvement of library and information services and for the profession of librarianship.

Jin joined Ohio Wesleyan in 2000, and serves as the university’s associate director of libraries. He also serves as head of technical services and as collection development coordinator. Jin earned bachelor and master’s degrees from Yunnan University in China, a master’s degree from Ohio University, and a master’s degree in library science from St. John’s University. Jin is a resident of Lewis Center.
