Expert Source: Korine Fujiwara


Korine Fujiwara, who began her orchestral career with The Brooklyn Philharmonic, holds degrees in violin from The Juilliard School and Northwestern University. She has received various awards throughout her career, including the Hjalmer and Emma Kivekas Award, the Raymond Cerf Memorial Scholarship in Violin, and the Fetzer Prize for outstanding performance. Fujiwara has performed with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra since 1992 and performs frequently with the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra. She is the violinist in the Carpe Diem String Quartet and a founding member and performer in the Marble Cliff Chamber Players.
