Expert Source: Robert J. Gitter, Ph.D.


Bob Gitter’s primary research interest in recent years has been the economics of Mexican migration to the United States. His work has focused on the impact of a migration experience on migrants who return to Mexico. He is beginning a project with Mexican economists to perform a transnational study on the impact of immigration on both the migrants and their home community in Mexico. He has also published articles on the economic impact of casino gambling on American Indians as well as turnover among mental health professionals.
