Expert Source: Sean I. Kay, Ph.D.


Sean Kay is the author of Global Security in the Twenty-First Century (2006) and is considered one of the nation’s leading NATO experts. He makes frequent television, radio, and print media appearances in the United States and internationally. He specializes in international politics, security and organizations, as well as U.S. foreign and defense policy. He is available to discuss the war in Iraq, as well as Afghanistan, China, Russia, and all global security issues. He is a Mershon Associate at the Mershon Center for International Security Studies at The Ohio State University, and a non-resident fellow at the Eisenhower Institute in Washington, D.C. His is a member of the editorial board of Contemporary Security Policy. He previously taught at Dartmouth College and was a fellow at the Institute for National Strategic Studies in the U.S. Department of Defense, which advises the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. He also has held visiting appointments at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London, the University of British Columbia, and Stanford University.
