Richard Leavy, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist with expertise in abnormal behavior, especially alcohol abuse and its prevention. He has published articles in Journal of Studies on Alcohol, Journal of Community Psychology, and Alcoholism Treatment Quarterly, among others. He has written seven textbooks on introductory and abnormal psychology and has done consultation work with area agencies, particularly in program evaluation.
