Expert Source: Amy McClure, Ph.D.


As the chair of Ohio Wesleyan’s Department of Education, Amy McClure, Ph.D., specializes in children’s literature, particularly poetry, as well as censorship and the No Child Left Behind Act. She is involved in numerous education-relation organizations, including as a past president and board member of the Children’s Literature Assembly, a board member of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), and a past president of the Ohio Council of the International Reading Association. She also has published numerous articles and six books on children’s learning and literature.
