Expert Source: Timothy Roden, Ph.D.


Timothy Roden, Ph.D., teaches music history, world music, survey of music literature, and music appreciation at Ohio Wesleyan. He has a special interest in German orchestral lieder, having received grants from Northwestern University and the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst for research in Berlin. Roden is also an active writer, contributing to music appreciation and music history textbooks, editing a collection of German orchestral lieder (pub. Fall 2007), and has contributed an article on a Schumann song cycle to the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Journal.
